BEFORE CALLING FOR SERVICE
Check the following list to be sure a service call is really necessary. A quick reference to this manual may
help you avoid an unneeded service call.
THE AIR CONDITIONER WILL NOT OPERATE.
Check if... Then...
Wall plug disconnected. Push plug firmly intowall outlet.
Housefuse blown or circuitbreakertripped. Replacefuse withtime delay type or resetcircuit breaker.
Power is OFF. Pushthe power button.
Unit was turned offand then ontoo quickly. Set unit offand wait 3 minutesbefore restarting.
TEMP Control setwarmer than room temperature. Set TEMP Controlto lowertemperature.
The current interrupter device is triped Press the RESET button located on the power cord plug
If the RESET button will not stay engaged, discontinue use of the
air conditioner and contact a qualified service technician.
AIR FROM UNIT DOES NOT FEEL COLD ENOUGH.
Check if... Then...
FAN SPEED set at LOW. Push FANSPEED buttonto set at HI.
TEMP Control settoo warm. Set TEMP Control to lowertemperature.
Room temperaturebelow70 F(21 C). Cooling may not occur until roomtemperature risesabove 70 F (21 C)
Temperaturesensing tube touchingevaporator coil, Straightentube away from evaporatorcoil.
